For the Beginner!
This collection of texture plates is composed of designs that are good for beginners to start out on! A nice balance of detail helps to ensure you pick up using these tools with ease, whether you're using a press, rolling mill, or hammer and lead weight.
Plates with less design and more "negative space" (blank, unetched portions) are usually a little more difficult to press, as the metal has few places to move to as you use the tool. In contrast, it takes some practice to get the hang of getting all of the details in those that are the opposite.
I chose these designs myself and marked them so that anyone who is just starting out using texture plates has do doubt of where to begin. For more information on how to use your plates, please visit the HOW TO USE page!
